Here is information regarding our TK program:

Why should you enroll your child in Transitional Kindergarten?

Kindergarten standards and curriculum have changed. Many of the skills children were once taught in first grade, are now expected to be taught in kindergarten. Transitional Kindergarten is the bridge between preschool and the new higher standards of kindergarten.

The Transitional Kindergarten program integrates play-based learning and hands on activities to support your child’s healthy cognitive, physical, social and emotional development. Your child will learn developmentally appropriate practices through learning and play centers to explore new academic and social skills. The class size is small and is taught by a credentialed teacher, assisted by an instructional aide. The environment is active, non-restrictive, and moves at your child’s pace.

It’s the “Gift of a Year”!

If your child's birthday is between December 3-March 31, please contact Loyalton Elementary at (530) 993-4482 to register or to ask any questions you may have.

(Priority enrollment is given to children born between September 2 and December 2)

Thank you Mr. Adams for inspiring our kids in science and STEM! This was such a special opportunity and I am really happy that I was able to witness first hand the excitement and enthusiasm in these kids.
