Congrats Allison! Best wishes in your future❤️

Tonight's all call is long winded 🙂 Here is the transcript below for your reference -Mr. Jones

Good evening Loyalton High School parents and students, this is Mr. Jones with your weekend update.

With 2 weeks left in the 19/20 school year we have a busy couple of weeks ahead to close out the year.

Starting tomorrow, future 9th though 12th graders are scheduled for 4-year planning sessions with their class advisors for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

The purpose of these 20 minute sessions are to quickly ensure that your student’s course selections for next year align with their college and career goals.

If you’d like to preview the course selections, they are available under the 4 year planning tab at To preview simply click on the form that corresponds with your student’s grade. Previewing the form in advance will save time during the appointments.

Teachers have called out and set these appointments up. If for some reason you have not been contacted, please call me at the high school @ x310 or email me for an appointment time. Teachers will send out zoom invites for their group of appointments, appointments might run a tad long so please wait to be admitted into the zoom room if it’s a bit past the time.

Great job seniors on your virtual senior project presentations, and great job Loyalton FFA on your virtual Spring banquet. LHS students are rising to the occasion even when Covid gets in the way.

The Class of 2020 will have their Senior awards banquet virtually, this Friday at 6pm.

We will end distance learning this Wednesday June 3rd so that all materials that are out can be returned to the school. Starting this Thursday, we ask that all materials be returned to the high school. When materials are returned, please take them into the gym. Teacher’s names will be printed on the tables, please put your books and items that belong to your teacher on their table for inventory. There will be a table for ChromeBooks and chargers as well.

Please stick to the following schedule to prevent high numbers of people at the school.
Thursday= 7th
Friday = 8th
Next Monday June 8th = 9th Grad
Next Tuesday June 9th = 10th Grade
Next Wednesday June 10th = 11th Grade and;
Finally Next Thursday June 11th= Seniors.

Please try to stick with your day if at all possible. When coming to the school please adhere to social distancing and masking guidelines.

If you cannot physically make it to the school, we will be running our work vans on the 3pm afternoon run on Wednesday June 10th. The work vans will retrieve any items you have to turn in. Any grade may utilize the vans to bring materials to the school if you cannot physically make it.

Lastly, there will be drive through COVID 19 testing offered by Sierra County on Tuesday in the LHS parking lot. To register to be tested for free, or for more information, please visit the SPJUSD facebook page.

That’s it for tonight. 2 weeks left everyone, let’s finish strong. Good night and go grizzlies.
